What is Kill Kings?

I’m Jeff Lester. After 25+ years working as an outfitter, guide and hunter, I launched Kill Kings to provide a better hunting experience for both hunters and guides.

Kill Kings operates similar to other traditional outfitters with a couple of major differences.

1. The hunter now has more control over who he/she uses for a hunting guide

2. Our certified guides have more control over what they earn, their schedule, and their career.

This isn’t your daddy’s outfitter. For many years, big game hunting outfitters provided services to hunters and hired guides to take each hunter out to

the field. The hunter was left with little to no say over the type of hunt or the guide. For guides, they were left with virtually no say over what they earned, when they guided, or where. Many times a guide was put in situations where they didn’t know the hunter or the hunting unit before the hunt began. Guides were also at the mercy of the outfitter when it came time for negotiating wages or securing guided hunts. Hunting guides had little to no incentive to become a better guide.  As an outfitter, I saw guides come and go.  Some guides stayed and others left. I knew there had to be a better way to create a great experience for both hunters and guides.

This isn’t a regular big game outfitter

When I came up with the idea of Kill Kings I had one goal in mind and that was to put the power of choice in the clients’ hands, not the outfitters hands. For far too long people who hire outfitters have relied on faith in the outfitter. Faith is believing in something without seeing it. Well we want you to show you by success, action and facts.  The main fact is that we have assembled an elite group. Look at it as the guides on this website are first round draft pics in a professional sport, or a specialized group within the military. The best of the best!  

I’ve focused this new business on building relationships. Building a relationship of trust prior to meeting your guide is essential for having confidence and trust in your guide.  Putting the power of “Choice” over “Fate” helps you believe and know you are in good hands. Our hunters can now browse a selection of high quality guides with success and experience in the big game units you will hunt.
